This is from the 2018 Gathering page. I am curious how the builder did the folding wings.

That KR 1 was built by Dennis Waller, Marion, Illinois.  Dennis is a "some-times" member of our local builders group.  If he is at the meeting tonight I'll ask him to post some info to the net if he wants to share.  To my knowledge that airplane has never flown.  I believe it was brought to the airport and possibly engine run but I was never fortunate enough to be at the airport if and when it happened.   It has a three cylinder engine of unknown (to me) origin.  Dennis has built several airplanes but I'm not sure he has ever flown any of them.  I recall he was a flight instructor at one time.

Film at 11:00..................(no, I don't actually have film. That's an old newscaster line to indicate more on the story on the nightly news cast.  I just thought I'd answer before the question was asked..)
