With my top mounted Ellison I've turned off the fuel pump in flight just to see
if the engine would continue to run.  Turns out it continues to run.  I've been
presuming the fuel continues to flow through a "siphon" effect, not considering
the suction power of the Ellison.
335KC came with a primary and back-up fuel pump . . . the cylindrical kind.
I've never needed to use the back-up so these pumps seem to run forever.  It's
good to know that if they don't, the engine will continue to run normally.

It would be a great idea for someone to document the story of the Dr. Dean
plane.  It sounds like there's an interesting saga there.  I've heard the name
"Dr. Dean" often enough over the years to know he is/was somebody of
consequence in the KR world, but that's all I know and I suspect the Dr. Dean
plane is of great interest to all netters..
