Mike and all interested folks: I called and visited this guy today. Nice guy, moving to a smaller house and needs to get rid of a LOT of stuff in a hurry.
The VW on the plane has a Posa carb, Diehl accessory case with starter & alternator + mag. I didn't find a manufacturer dataplate, but something that looked like the original support 5th bearing from Great Plains (sort of glued on; I have pix). All there, with aviation plugs, even a 52x45 prop. #428 on other side of hub. Spinner, etc included. Rand turtle deck (adhered to boat), front deck, and cowl. No fuel tank(s) or panel, but a cardboard plan included. Wood workmanship is very good to excellent. Dual sticks, no seat or brakes. On Diehl trigear, tires are low/flat. Still some micro fill needed all over, but not a lot. Two canopies, both KR2, maybe the original Rand? Wings are foam, and done, with ailerons on with hinge. Hoerner type tips. No fuel tank(s) that I saw, but pitot installed on pilot's stub. No lights at all. Spare engine on a small pallet, painted red, also with Av plugs. This one has a HAPI accessory case; I didn't see a carb, but also a couple of tubs full of stuff I didn't get to. This one had been run in another airplane, and had baffles and still no dataplate. But it too had a siliconed oil seal and some kind of front bearing. His Barnstormers ad asking for $39xx, but he threw out a $2900 offer. He hasn't put it on FB or Craigs. His ad was not searchable on BS with KR-2, but KR2.
