Lonnie's response (just below) from my asking if he knew anyone working on toroidal props. They work on ships and boats and drones. They maximize thrust and do so at lower RPM's. It's only a matter of time before someone puts one on a plane and not long after that we'll all want one. Anyone know somebody working on this? Mark?
Mike I know of no one that is building these for aircraft use, I do not plan to market them but thanks for asking. www.princeaircraft.com Lonnie Prince CEO/President 6774 Providence Street Whitehouse, Ohio 43571 Tel. 419-877-5557 Fax 419-877-5564 [email protected] Veteran Owned Company Member of: Better Business Bureau National Federation of Small Businessmen Experimental Aircraft Association Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association In a message dated 9/1/2023 9:57:56 PM Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Hi Mr. Prince, Is anyone is making one of these that will fit a standard VW (Great Plains 2180) prop hub? Or perhaps in development? I'd be happy to be a guinea pig when it comes time to see how well it works on an actual aircraft. Mike [email protected]
