John,
My tanks are of epoxy and there is no question in my mind that I can not
use any fuel with alcohol in my tanks and there may be other hidden
risks in my system also. The question I asked that started this
derailment, if not a full fledged train wreck, was simply whether or
not I could remove the alcohol in auto fuel using water and then filter
out the water. Several came close to answering the question directly
but Jeff Scott's post probably provided the most complete useful
information when stating the fuel with alcohol removed would probably
not be an acceptable fuel after the alcohol is removed. With all the
useful info given I've abandoned the idea entirely.
