Hello All,
Makes me want to scream but I will not be able to make the Gathering this
year. Couldn't go last year because the hurricane destroyed my building.
Only just now finishing up the repairs. But this year am having health
issues with my mom and my older sister. Just impossible for me to go at
this time. I only pulled that trigger just now. I had hoped I could get
away for a few days.
I cannot tell you all how bummed out I am.
So all of you try to have twice as much fun since you'll be having mine as
well. And if that isn't proof that there is a "clock" on all of us and we
all need to get our butts in gear and get things done, I don't know what is.

Larry, send me your address and I will mail you cash so you can send me 2
large shirts. I'll include extra for shipping. Thanks.

As for my building update, it's pretty clear that I will never finish this
by myself. So, I went and bought a plane. N209JC. I had been looking
forward to showing everyone photos of where I am and how things are
progressing. I even have a photo of it at one of the earlier Gatherings.
Maybe Mark can pull it up and show it to everyone. The photo I have is
from Mount Vernon - not sure which year. Had some minor damage (one wing,
cowl and canopy) - which is being repaired. And is right now currently
ready for primer. Not by me, I am paying someone (an experienced builder)
- I have finally learned my limitations. Second issue was to strap on a
motor as the prior owner kept his (that I do know how to do). And luckily,
I had a lightly used O-200 I had gotten out of New Mexico (thanks Jeff)
that fit perfectly, replacing the one that had been there.. And my partner
in the Sundowner is actually an A&P who is watching (over) me do
the engine/prop installation/connections (biggest problem is the exhaust).
I actually had the fantasy of flying it up to the Gathering but I am
probably about 2 weeks out from actually flying. But, I will fly N209JC
really soon - that's a guarantee..
I look forward to soon posting a video of me actually flying my own KR2S.

Thanks to All.
