Thanks for pulling that presentation together on such short notice Rob, and doing the KR Forum for me. That was an "oldie goldy" that I did a long time ago, with some timely updates from Rob.

A couple of comments about the Freebird project is that there will be several options when it comes to fuselage and wing design. We'll start out with just one overall plan, but hopefully we can work up some details that allow some guided options to wings and that kind of thing. The basis will be 48" chord AS5048 airfoils at the root, tapering to the AS5046 at the tip. This will allow more fuel to be carried in the stub wings, reducing the need for a cabin mounted header tank (which improves CG range and lessons the change of a fire in the cockpit).

The sentence "no desire in selling plans" is a bit confusing.....the plans will be FREE PDF downloads from the www.freebirdplans.org website, which I have secured and will set up when I have something substantive to put there. There will be no logins, passwords, secret handshakes, or any kind of personal information required from those who download the free plans. The overall goal of this project is to make it so easy for people to build these planes, our collective version of what the KR has become will continue to flourish far into the future....
