I am hoping to get my KR2S back in the air this year, but live inside the 30
mile veil around Seattle's Class B airspace.  I will need to install something
in my airplane to make it legal for me to even take off. I am looking for an
inexpensive and easy to install set up and would like to know what other KR2
Owners have used in their airplanes. I'm not interested in spending more than I
spent on the airplane to install a new glass panel setup.
Seems like about 5 or more years ago Jeff Scott said he used something that the
iFly700 folks were selling that was only around $1000 or so, although it would
not be compatible with my iFly700, so the Upgrade to a iFly720 would bring the
cost up to around $1500 if I wanted to actually see other aircraft on a
display. Of course those were 2015 dollars, so that system would be more now I
expect. I don't remember what it was called though.
Now that a half a decade has passed, I imagine there are probably lots of newer
options out there that folks have tried and can chime in on. I would think that
as with all technology, once it has been around awhile and more and newer stuff
has been produced and marketed, the prices on some of the older things might go
down.  Being as how this is aviation stuff I am not super hopeful that is the
case with ADS-B equipment.
Please pass on your thoughts.
