I was wondering if Kitplanes had a digital archive, and was pleasantly surprised to find it at https://www.kitplanes.com/magazine-archive/ ...showing May as the most recent copy on that site. So as a "current subscriber", you can log into it and read all the past articles, including the KR issue, but it may be a couple of months before that one it on the archive site.
There is a lot of good information in all those back issues....stuff like Barnaby Wanfan's articles on aircraft design and aerodynamics, and many others. The last few years is especially good stuff, as Paul Dye was editor, and is still a very knowledgeable contributor. Lots of thorough DIY information.
