The Taylor is wonderful, attractive design. But it's really a totally
different airplane other than some generalities.

Just my opinion, but I dont see how "heavily" a composite  (the first in
fact!) could have borrowed from a non-composite other than having been
"inspired" by the general shape and some fuselage structural specs (which
Im pretty sure are not unique to the Taylor).  Not sure how much if *at
all* those plans would help you build a KR any more than studying the
plethora of builder pictures and detail on various KR postings and make
your own 1-design that is "inspired" by the KR's general shape and general
construction techniques. Which also are the basis of many follow-on
composite planes after the KR was introduced.


People have mentioned that the KR designs draw heavily from the Taylor
