The Taylor is wonderful, attractive design. But it's really a totally different airplane other than some generalities.
Just my opinion, but I dont see how "heavily" a composite (the first in fact!) could have borrowed from a non-composite other than having been "inspired" by the general shape and some fuselage structural specs (which Im pretty sure are not unique to the Taylor). Not sure how much if *at all* those plans would help you build a KR any more than studying the plethora of builder pictures and detail on various KR postings and make your own 1-design that is "inspired" by the KR's general shape and general construction techniques. Which also are the basis of many follow-on composite planes after the KR was introduced. People have mentioned that the KR designs draw heavily from the Taylor > Monoplane design. I did see that plans for the Taylor Titch and Taylor > Monoplane are still available for sale > * Would the Monoplane plans or titch plans be a suitable starting point for > building a KR- 1 / KR-2 ? ________________________________ -Please see LIST RULES and KRnet info at http://www.krnet.org/info.html -Change list delivery options at https://list.krnet.org/list/krnet.list.krnet.org/ Affinity List Info Board -Search recent KRnet Archives at https://list.krnet.org/empathy/list/krnet.list.krnet.org/ -Search John Bouyea's decades of archive at https://www.mail-archive.com/krnet@list.krnet.org/
