I’ve seen online that a small group of designers have started the “KR-Super 2”

If this “KR4” were to be powered by a 100 HP Continental O-200, in theory, to
achieve the same Power/Weight ratio as the Revmaster, you could have a gross
weight of approximately 1750 lbs. For a little factor of safety, let’s assume a
Gross Weight of 1650 lbs.
Of course when talking about a bigger airplane, you would need a bigger engine,
a bigger structure, which means more weight.
Base Empty Weight = 650 lbs

One of my "Observations of Life" is:

"Dreams are more achievable when painted with reality"

In this case reality is that we do not have the technology to build an air
frame strong enough to carry 4 people and give even minimum acceptable
performance on 100 hp. While we no longer troll the skies on Wright Fliers
and, technology on the other end of the spectrum has us flying at Mach 3 at
100,000 feet, technology on our end of the spectrum for light weight aircraft
with acceptable performance has priced us out of the market. The reason we
aren't flying 4 passenger C150's is because at that point in time we didn't
have the technology to build a 4 place airplane to fly on 100hp. Engineers
up-sized it to what we now know as the C172. Even the 172 is not capable of
carrying 4 of today's size passengers, full fuel, and baggage without being
over gross. The closest I've come to flying an airplane with the spec's you're
looking for is the Piper Clipper
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piper_PA-16_Clipper ) and it misses the mark by
a considerable amount. I'd still like to own one as it is a GREAT 2 place
airplane with lots of baggage room.

We probably have the technology to build such an air frame (carbon fiber) and
power it with a light weight turbine of several hundred hp but there is
apparently no market for an aircraft in that price range or we would have one.
With all that said, don't stop dreaming. Like I said, we're not flying Wright
Fliers anymore and I no longer communicate on a single wire, 6 party telephone
line that ran 3 miles into the local town and terminated with a 6 ft long
copper rod buried in earth just outside the old farmhouse.
