Dr. Hsu:

Just my 2 cents, but I think what the others are saying is that, whatever group or groups you may fall into statistically,  it is a matter of choice. As a retired Quality Engineer with significant experience in the manufacturing environment using statistical methods, I would remind you that statistical methods have been developed to highlight what is, not to implement change. The population measured is what it is, and it is up to the "population" to determine what, if anything, warrants change. In the case of human behavior, only dictators use statistics to modify human behavior... the rest of us use them as a tool to improve systems, whether they be service delivery, manufacturing methods, or what have you.

i.e., if you choose to use your KR for personal transportation, more power to you, if you use it for entertainment/personal enjoyment - go for it, if you just like building, I'm sure your significant other is happy you are out in the garage/hangar building instead of hanging out in the bar/club/whatever chasing you other favorite hobby :) CAVU - just keep building and then go fly, let someone else worry about the state of Experimental A/C's community. Appreciate you thoughts, however.

Of course, your results may vary and JMHO!

Thank you Oscar for your interesting comparison of GA with boating. I
understand the point you tried to make, except that you might have
