Hi, Owen Scholz, new to KRnet and the KR world. Currently I fly an RV-9A, and the RV line of aircraft have a GREAT reputation throughout the experimental community, with thousands being built. Although I have not yet flown a KR, Jeff said in an earlier post that he uses his RV-6 as a KR trainer and that the flight characteristics are extremely similar. If this really is the case, how would one aircraft be "super pitch and a handful to fly" and the other (RV line) be "light on the controls, a dream to fly, and respond to your thoughts"?
I believe the KR got a bad repor with its first generation because there was no other aircraft like it, and it seemed to be too good to be true. Now, with the addition of 1 or 2 bays in the aft end of the aircraft, the pitch stability is greatly increased, likely making the aircraft fly very similarly to the famed RV line. Let's all kill the stigma that the KR is a pitchy aircraft, and instead understand that it is a responsive aircraft with extremely low operating costs, and thus forth, is not your flight schools Cessna.
