Thank you for this great test plan. I will modify it to fit my KR2S as I
prepare for my test flight soon.
Best regards

With the latest layer of fill now just dust in the wind, and my hair and on the
floor - perhaps I am getting closer to first flight of my son’s KR2s.

When it was time for first flight of my Osprey, I got lots of advice, including
the peculiarities of type.

I also got a hot shot test pilot to do the first flights.  We went through the
plans, and he was well briefed on everything I had learned about the Osprey.

Hot shot was awesome and probably could have landed the plane with only one
wing.  But he just didn’t listen to peculiarities of type advice I had gotten
from the community.  So even though one’s ass is only about 5” off the ground
in the Osprey, he flared it like a Cessna and dropped her in hard.

My advice would be to get the usual first flight advice and plans:

And listen closely to as much first hand "peculiarities of type” advice you can.

Based on my Osprey experience, I think for most of us moving from something
like a Piper, you should also stay very conscious of how much lower the KR
sits.

Cheers,
Owen
