Learned a ton in the last few days, thanks! Gonna go ahead with the automated boost limiting waste gate, and also I think keep trying to work out an automated mixture servo (oxy sensor and mixture servo motor/drive). Who really wants to file down posa style carb pins? I don't want to do that stuff whilst enjoying the view in flight. I just want the alarm and over ride ability when the shi$ breaks... My car just goes when I step on it, and I like that simplicity. (did I mention the car is electric? My rear license plate frame reads: " Gas? What gas? We don't need no stinking gas!"..) I have never been one to toot my own horn, but at this point in my life I might as well let 'er rip: I am what my friends in the business call an "electronics guru". So.. building an electronic mixture servo (given the parts specs are available and accurate) is no problem for me. I won't fly anything if the engine, left to itself, will self destruct (overboost). You can fly that one, not me. got parachute? And while "tweaking" the mixture at 11,500 is actually somehow oddly satisfying, who really cares when you are busy over looking the view, while an oxy sensor and slow servo motor can set the mixture better than you? (well, if you can stay away from leaded fuel)... I am just saying... Thanks for the info here, my kr is again fueling my imagination, after a decade of, well, busy work..
