See the instructions he made for us at:

This is exactly what I needed, and it certainly beats an engine teardown. One thing that's occurred to me since my post this morning is that pulling the hub can easily result in the key falling out of the crank and into the case, even if you are being careful with it. I did that after my last rebuild. The engine backfired on first start attempt (I had two plug wires crossed), the engine kicked back, and sheared the keyway. Removing the hub, the pieces fell into the case, and I had to tear it down again just to get the pieces out! I Loctited the key into the crank the next time around, but that's no guarantee. Just a tidbit of hard-earned wisdom! I now have 225 hours on this engine with zero problems and stable valve clearances, and it still has decent compression and runs great.

Maybe this seal drain will delay the teardown for a while, which would be good, since right now the work bench is of full of N56ML's Corvair engine that I'm now reassembling, with an SPA "Gen2" front bearing on it.

Thanks again Marcel!
