My tailwheel experience comes from flying a 45HP Rotax 447 engined Mini-Max
R1600. My buddy passed away and his wife asked me to sell the airplane. I had
to move it from its Homebase airport to Mesquite Metro Airport (KHQZ) in
Dallas. That was one hell of an adventure. Thank God that HKQZ has a 6000 ft X
150ft wide runway... I was all over the place but eventually got it stopped. I
am super ready for my KR2 after that little venture...

Mike, your talk about all pilot training to require tail wheel
training the first few hours reminded me of my training. In doing a
soft field landing, ( But on a hard surface runway,) I scraped the
tail tie down ring before the mains touched down. Port Columbus
