I started out thinking I'd use Bosch fuel injection out of a VW Rabbit
(and lots of other European cars). I spent a lot of time researching
it, thinking about it, and gathered every single part needed, fully
planning to execute it. But I was shocked at the size of it all, and the
weight! I quickly decided to simply buy an Ellison throttle body, which
is tiny, self contained, and I've never had an issue with regarding carb
ice (although it does say right on it that it CAN ice). I have not
looked back. It's tiny and super lightweight compared to the injection,
no high pressure fuel, no electrical points of failure, and more
importantly, it's FLYING! It sounds like the injection has been holding
you up...."just throw a carb on it and be flying a LOT sooner" would be
my advice. There are lots of them out there that work fine. I'll bet
if you ask on KRnet, you'll get several leads on carbs for sale.
Your choice, but I'd choose to fly ASAP.....
