Here is a checklist I put together for an RV10 up to takeoff. Write down
a logical sequence for your aircraft, go through it mentally, and make
corrections, additions, etc..
Consider things like the item on this list of shutting off the electric
fuel pump after start to ensure the engine driven pump is operating
normal before takeoff. Electric pump is turned back on before takeoff.
Consider things like "can you check for oil pressure at start up or do
you have to wait for the EMS to start up?" Each airplane is different
and will have different considerations. Keep going through your list
until it works.
