I get this kind of stuff all the time. Yes, it's wise to be cautious, but he's already got your email address (and a viable story as to why and what he needs), so unless you click on some fake link that goes to somewhere else (easy enough to check), I personally would try to give him a little help. If nothing else, post to the list asking if anybody has a set of plans to sell, and try to connect the two together. I do what I can to get more KRs in the air, even though it is a time-consuming PITA sometimes.....
