Craig is truly an inspiration... now I feel like a wimp cause I've been
hibernating against these cold winter days of mid 50's temperatures in Dallas
and watching his video of him working with all that snow around... inspires me
to bundle up and get back out to the garage and work on my bird.
So I Installed the prop last week and getting it torqued down to the proper
specs. Made a mockup of the baffles to finish the flat pieces that cover the
entrance from the cowling to the engine cylinders. Finished running the main
wires from the battery which sits just behind the pilot's seat to the firewall.
Got to finish the connection to the starter solenoid and back feed the
instrument panel. I am replacing my D60 and the MGL E-1 engine monitor with a
Dynon 180 that I acquired from a friend that upgraded to a Dynon Skyview (must
be nice). I need to start closing things up too. Too many panels opened and
everything looks unfinished. Did a fuel flow test two weeks ago and confirmed
that fuel flow is adequate for my Revmaster 2100D with the .049 heads.
I will be moving her to the airport sometime next week, weather permitting. Got
to run the engine for the first time, a little nervous about that. Not too much
after that but to get her ready for flight. Well like Cher used to say... the
beat goes on...
