Jim Hill broke the tail of his KR2 off during a forced landing, and spliced another bay into his KR2 to make it an S. While he was at it, he added the "new tail" feathers to it at the same time, extending them by 6" on each side (like I did on my KR2S). The process isn't nearly as bad as it sounds, and it came out looking great. After he'd flown it, he was quite impressed with the difference it made in stability and controllability. As he neared completion of his Sportsman, he sold the KR to a guy in Pine Bluff (if I remember correctly) so he could buy an engine for the Sportsman, then died suddenly before finishing the Sportsman. My KR is now in his hangar, which I bought from his estate. Jim gave me my first KR ride, and was a good friend. Templates for the new horizontal and vertical stabilizers are located at http://www.krnet.org/as504x/ . See the link near the bottom, named "Free KR2S Airfoil Template Downlaod". Any of the three choices includes tail templates. Incidence for the horizontal stabilizer should be near zero.
