Steve installed the 2180 I've got in Ken Cottle's KR-1½ and it's held up well. I've always presumed the CHT reads a bit low and operated the engine accordingly. After all these years I use the instrument to just notice any change, not to represent CHT precisely. Same with oil temp. Probe is installed on a left rear stud, normally the hottest cylinder.
