Here is my story on the Diehl legs on N886MJ. When I was building 6MJ I highly
considered setting it up as a tail dragged. I purchased the gear from an
individual in Rhode Island and actually had everything clamped in place and
almost drilled the holes. Then I got to thinking how nice the KR looks as a tri
gear and how much larger the plane looks with its ass off the ground. I mean
haven’t you ever heard the saying “ keep your nose on the ground and run
straight”? Anyway, the gear with angles on both sides will work as a tri gear
or a tail wheel set up. If I remember correctly the angles are different so you
will want to make sure both are mounted correctly.
