I have a similar problem, except I have 4 flights on my KR-2, but likely
will not have flown the 40-hour test period mandated by the FAA. The four
flights were three years ago. In the that time I have made so many mods
that I will have to treat the next flight as a first flight.
That said, I still plan to be at the Gathering, either flying my KR-2 or
driving.
Keep it safe. I will listen to them and even tell an occasional one myself,
but don't like those crash and burn stories.

The realization that my airplane will not be ready by the time that the
gathering comes around is starting to haunt me. My back up plan is to
trailer it to the meeting cause at least we can put the wings on and have it
sit on the ramp as a static display and judging/constructive criticism. I
still have some minor wiring to do, I have not run the engine yet (need to
finish converting mags to auto plugs) and I have some cowling work to
complete. Either way with or without the airplane, I will be there

Ok everyone. Can you believe the Gathering is only 54 days away.? Start
making your plans to attend cause you have to be there to be cool. And I?m
not talking temperature. As your Uncle Sam say?s: ?WE WANT YOU?.
You need to attend our celebration of 47 years of KR flight. Come one come
all as it?s time to worship this airplane and enjoy the camaraderie we all
share.
