Yes join them, preferably by welding the twisted pair end. Do this by momemtarly touching across a 12v car battery. First, twist it a good number of tight turns, cut off all but 2 turns. Hold one end of the sensor wires on the neg post than drag the other end (twisted) across the pos wire. The resulting arc will weld the dissimilar metals nicely. Ok,now the disclaimer..It is easier and safer to use a pair of jumper cables AWAY from the battery to perform this task. There is a chance you may blow the top off the battery by arcing directly on top of it.🤪 safety glasses are a must.Twisting them alone is acceptable. Use the same number of turns on each sensor.
