Mark,
Weight is to much for a KR2 CG, might be ok with a kr2s. I have a kr2 and
thought the same till I started working on the weight and balance. I would have
had to move the seat back to far. I am working now on a kr2 with a jabiru 3300
but have to build a swing away mount to work on the engine because of how close
the engine is to the firewall. Also had to move the battery to the back to make
CG work becouse the engine is longer then the VW type engine. It's been a lot
of work and if I was to do it again I would have done a kr2s stretch and save a
lot of headaches. Even when I get done I really only have a fast one place
plan.Run some numbers before you buy the engine and weigh how much work it is
to do it.
Good luck with your projectWilliamKR2 N9099A

hunting up an 0-200 or something from Continental's line up. Is this worth
pursuing?
