I'm posting this for a guy I heard from privately. See below, and the enclosed KR-1 photo below:

Mark, can you help me out. I am not a member, but I am wondering if you could post the attached picture on your KRnet to see if any of your subscribers can give me any information on this KR-1, like who built it and possible N number.

It was misidentified on the internet as N1436 by Skytamer. N1436 is owned by the EAA and is in their museum. The current owner is Bruce Orriss who bought the airplane from David Beiber who was the airport manager at a small airfield near San Diego, CA. Dave got the airplane for back unpaid hangar rent about 30 years ago. It use to on display at the Western Museum of Flight at Hawthorne airport in Los Angeles, CA about Ten years ago. I am trying to trace the original builder.
