I've had the idea the Rotec was a direct knock-off of the Ellison. Sounds like not. I've never had to touch my EFS-2 since I've had it. Taking that back upon second thought, I did have to very slightly adjust the idle up a tiny bit after the engine had stopped on me while rolling out on the runway not long after I'd bought the plane from Steve Bennett. After that had happened a couple times I sure didn't want the engine stopping on me when pulled to idle when on a long low final over houses, which shouldn't be allowed to happen (long, low finals) but sometimes does . . . or used to.
