As most of you already know, My first flight in the KR was also my first tailwheel flight. I know that I could have ended up just another bad statistic but after years of going over it in my head, I decided to self teach. With every landing I became more and more confident. Finally the day came for my biannual flight review and I was able to find a tailwheel instructor that was crazy enough to climb in the KR with me. After some wheel landings and three point landings we called it a day. He signed off my biannual and also my tailwheel endorsement. When ask what I could do better he pointed out that I was correcting P factor torque with aileron.. I should have been more aggressive with the right rudder. He said that under the right conditions (a gust of wind ) using the aileron had potential to roll me upside down. So know I correct with feet...

If all/most of your previous flying was behind one of those engines and you hop into something with a Corvair or VW that rotates in the opposite direction, does it take some conscious effort to start using left rudder instead of your right to counteract the yawing tendency due to propeller torque and P-factor or is this a nothing burger?
