Just a little about what I've been doing. During the building process I decided
to use the Tracy O'Brian brakes because of the light weight and the compact
size of the brake itself...
Because of the extra weight of the O-200 and the shorter Diel landing gear
which leads to higher landing speeds, I experience brake fade with the Tracy
O'Brian brakes. The runway at KASN is 6000 ft so I've not been in to big a
hurry to change, but it was time. So for the last couple of days I have been
installing new Matco brakes and all that this entails. Hopefully by next
weekend I can take her out for a test landing . That being said: To anyone
interested in trying these brakes on a lighter weight KR1 or KR2 you can
contact me offline.
