Jeff Scott, Its a bit disturbing to know that there is a sealant that is rated for gasoline and even ethanol 10% that breaks down with standard auto fuel. I read the Data Sheets on it and you are correct, as you stated. Not that I use autogas but Im still concerned about fuel leaks and tank contamination. Have you tried the Permatex Aviation sealer. I have not had any issues with it on aviation fuel.
I am curious if you have contacted Rectorseal about their RectorSeal 5 you used ? I live near Ashland Valvoline HQ and my next door neighbor is in their engineering department and we often discuss fuels and lubricants ( oils) and their testing. He has discussed the fuel additives and their tests many times. I will have to ask him about this and see if they have any tests on Rectorseal 5 Jeff York Lexington, KY On Tue, Dec 11, 2018 at 1:44 PM Jeff Scott via KRnet <krnet@list.krnet.org> wrote: > Good question.
