Its a bit disturbing to know that there is a sealant that is rated for
gasoline and even ethanol 10% that breaks down with standard auto fuel. I
read the Data Sheets on it and you are correct, as you stated. Not that I
use autogas but Im still concerned about fuel leaks and tank contamination.
Have you tried the Permatex Aviation  sealer. I have not had any issues
with it on aviation fuel.

I am curious if you have contacted Rectorseal about their RectorSeal 5 you
used ? I live near Ashland Valvoline HQ and my next door neighbor is in
their engineering department and we often discuss fuels and lubricants (
oils) and their testing. He has discussed the fuel additives and their
tests many times. I will have to ask him about this and see if they have
any tests on Rectorseal 5
