I have a KRSuper2S project, but last year completed a Zenith CH-650 and flew to OSH and back from WA. I have a full Dynon Skyview panel, with radio, intercom, auto-pilot. The integrated transponder is ADSB- In and Out and works great. The radio is fantastic. Never have to turn a knob (but can if needed). Either press an airport icon on the touch screen, or hit NRST (Nearest) button and then press a button to send frequencies to radio - goes to standby. Then there are buttons for Tower, Ground, ATIS, Control. It is especially nice for Approach or Departure as I never remember those frequencies. The Dynon always has the right frequencies. Transponder has XPNDR button to set squawk via push buttons. In air weather is nice, as well as traffic alerts. Returning from OSH last July, coming over the Cascades through a smoke haze so thick I couldn't see a mile ahead of me, but could look down and see the ground (and any nearby terrain higher than me is in red), a red dot suddenly appeared in my path. It was a pop-up TFR for forest fire fighting. If I only had the briefing 3 hours ago at take-off, I would not have known about that. This popped up in flight and I just went 2 miles to the right and went around it. I thought it would take me a long time to get used to a tape as I had only flown steam gauges. Took me about 2 minutes, now I have a hard time going back. For example, a steam gauge gives you airspeed. The Dynon gives airspeed, under that True Airspeed, under than GPS ground speed, under that wind speed and direction, under that crosswind component. Get that from your round airspeed indicator! Yes, you can use a tablet and get GPS speed, but not integrated with real pitot tube airspeed, or calculated wind speeds. And if you really want a six pack of round gauges, you can set the Dynon screen to that. I don't have the new HD version, just 10" Skyview, VFR version. There are 3 components to the screen. Moving map, flying instruments with 3D background, and engine instruments. When looking at cost, look at all the component modules, ADHRS, sensors, back-up battery, and pitot tube as well. With auto-pilot servos ours was about $15K total. I designed a tray in the center of the panel with all Dynon components behind the panel on the tray (there are several modules besides the screen), and throttle and "permanent" switches and controls on the sides. Made the tray with ordinary kitchen sliding tray brackets. Unscrew center panel, slide out a bit and disconnect all the sensor and antenna connectors, slide the tray out and work or troubleshoot on the bench. Can send the entire tray to Dynon for troubleshooting, but haven't needed that. I highly recommend the Dynon system, but then, have not tried MGL or others. I did fly my 172 with steam gauges and a tablet for moving map, but this is much better. We get 90 day updates to map from Dynon, and of course firmware updates as issued. All put into the system via USB port on the panel. The Dynon has a backup battery (another $270) that powers the entire system for an hour in case of electrical failure. After more than a year, I still don't know all the many details, but enough to feel safe flying. Flying locally I often turn off the map and have larger engine instruments and flying instruments. The 3D portion still alerts to traffic and I can push a button and add the map if I want to know where it really is. Most of the time it just shows traffic on the screen, but when close it alerts with "Traffic, Traffic, Traffic" through the intercom. Every flight I see many more planes on the ADSB than I can with eyes, but anyone flying ADSB knows that. It shows relative position of the traffic, and relative altitude (+/- hundreds of ft) with an arrow for traffic direction. Even with this, I often cannot see the traffic. But if not a factor, don't look that hard. Green ring around my plane shows within glide distance, and shape of ring changes with wind; my aircraft isn't always centered as it would be with a tablet. Flying instrument screen also shows flap and trim settings, and angle of attack. Sorry for long post, but hope it is helpful to some.

Do you know if their Mode-S Transponder has 'inter-mode' capability?
