Before he was a Vairhead, Mark Langford was a VW specialist. There is PLENTY of VW rebuild info on his website at n56ml.com, most recently the overhaul of the VW engine in N891JF, the KR that Mark bought from Jim Faughn. Excellent info, particularly the study of various cylinder heads and CHT control.
