I will say that Ed Sterba will make you a VW prop to fit whatever you want for $400 (which includes shipping), for anything under a 56" diameter prop (or somewhere around that diameter), and maybe $450 for a longer one. They are great props, and he has a pretty good feel for what works on which airplane/engine combination, and will re-pitch it a bit for free if needed. You've probably seen this already, but check out http://www.krnet.org/kr-info.html for some idea of which props work on which airplanes and engines.
