I also had a NON EVENT basic med. One of our EAA groups set up a doctor and a date for anyone to come get the Basic Med. I did the paperwork and took it to the location. I went right in, as they were right on schedule. 10 minutes later, I walked out with my Basic Med. I have the color issue and a waiver from the FAA that I got back before I got my license. So I did not need to take the color test.
