So for someone of a younger generation than the average on this list (born
1990) I still really dislike actually communicating via technology... After
reading the archives for a while I have actually decided to create my first
post.

So here it is!
My wife and I have been building a kr2 for a little over a year and a half
now. We purchased the plane in a partially finished state from a fellow
Ohioan. When we purchased it April 16 it was in the "boat stage."

To date, we now have both outboard wings fully covered and the top of the
stub wings covered with the new airfoil shape. We have two aluminum fuel
tanks with a capacity of ~22 gallons. The controls are similar to Mark's
designs with outboard ailerons and flaps. Controls are hooked up and
functioning including the brakes.

We are currently working on the firewall forward. I am welding up the
engine mount for a 2700 corvair, and my wife is running the lines for the
fuel system.

We still have everything firewall forward as well as above the wood frame.

If we can keep up the current pace, we hope that we will be able to fly to
the KR gathering next year.

I have a bunch of pictures, but have not made the effort to post them
anywhere yet!
Hope you enjoyed this update!
