Hi Kayak,

I notice a great many aircraft kits now includes this as standard. A Backup 
system gives peace of mind. I do not at all conseder the KR2 as unsafe. Like 
anything else, if you keep within the design limitations you should be safe. 
There are pilots worldwide who have accumulated over 1000 hours in the type 
which says a lot by itself.

To this day, I am convinced that no better performance can be had for the cost 
and labor incurred

Makes a ballistic or personal chute (or both) look pretty appealing.

Personally, my seat back will be my 2" thick emergency chute, if I ever get a 
KR completed.
