Oh, and one more thing.  If you weren't running wide open (and you
probably weren't), the slide carb will be sucking from one side of the
slide carb, exacerbating the fuel distribution difference.  You can
probably live without the "Tornado", once you get flying, so you could
always wait and see, but for optimal leaning results, I'd go ahead and
install one.  Several of us have, and it went a long way toward leveling
out the CHTs on all six cylinders.
