John Bouyea, A few updates to post on the Gathering Web Site. We have the Seminars set for the Gathering, so for scheduling please post the following. Friday 10:00 am Electronic Flight Books Discussion - Rob Schmitt 2:00 pm Garmin - Avionics for Experimental Aircraft Saturday 10:00 am Fiber-Glassing - Grif Pickett 1:30 pm Wings Seminar - Paul Visk A few other notes; The KR Banquet is at 6:30 pm on Saturday, 23rd of September. The meal will be catered through "Nadlers", a local favorite with our EAA Chapter. The meal will be buffet style served and have a main course choice of brisket and chicken. Price is going to be $15 per person. KR Aircraft judging will be on Saturday morning. We need to complete this by 12 noon as our Judge needs to leave by that time. So please we'll need to have all Aircraft being judged in the vicinity of the Blue Hanger with their cowlings off and canopies open by 10 am. EAA Chapter 91 will be doing a BBQ on Friday night for us (and the Chapter). They will bring the burgers, hotdogs, but request that attendees bring a side (chips, cookies) etc. if possible. No problem if folks can't. They will be asking for donations to reimburse for the meal. I am working with Terry Chizek (who just hosted a Fly-in BBQ in Marion KS) on having food available for the Friday morning/noon, and Saturday morning/noon meal times. These will be pretty simple meals, donuts, burgers, dogs, possibly pancakes on Saturday morning. We will be asking for donations as well for those who eat. I will do the food purchase before hand based on the rough numbers from registration, so I don't go overboard on food purchase. We have a kitchen, microwave, grills, already on hand that the chapter will loan us, but of course we need to leave the place clean when done. I will be ordering the shirts and hats this Friday - 1 September. So, if there is anyone still not registered, please do it today!
