I just kept asking for that time slot until I finally won it back by attrition. We had the slot about five years ago, but the following year there was a screw-up that left us off the schedule entirely, so the best they could do to get a slot was about 8AM, which was no fun for anybody, and too early for some to get there who were driving in from off the grounds. Any later and we have to contend with the jets taking off in preparation for the airshow. I got enough jet noise to last me a lifetime when I was in the Air Force. It's just annoying now. I must say that I'm not looking forward to flying in. The last two years have been total chaos, and I had to go back to Ripon twice after being cut off by idiots at the wrong speed and altitude, and last year the controllers at Fisk apparently didn't even see me fly over them. Maybe this year will be better. If those flying in and planning to park at Homebuilt Headquarters will let me know, I'll try to save enough room for us all after we get there. I'm assuming Rob, Joe, Larry, and I will be there as usual. Anybody else? There are several newly-minted KRs that are welcome to fly in with us...
