Jim, Some years back I bought a Corvair engine from a fellow I think lived in WI. It cost me $125 to get it shipped. If you don't have luck with Ebay, try Craig's List. or Kbid auctions.

Hi guys, I've had some interest expressed in the parts for the KR 1 I'm
parting out, and between not knowing what each part is worth, and giving
everyone a shot at them, I put them on ebay today. The adds will start to
show up about 10:30 PDT today and run for 7 days. Here are the items I've
listed so far and the ebay item # for them. Grove style landing gear
legs. # 292130754364 heal brake pedals and master cylinders #
292130822443 Throttle and mixture quadrant and cables # 292130832051
VW motor mount # 292130843933 pair of Cleveland wheels 40-78B
# 292130843933 Nose gear and front wheel # 292130784861 Grove 1 1/4"
axels for 40-78B wheels # 292130801844 Cleveland 30-9 brakes #
292130817980 Please take a look at the stuff. If my starting prices are
to high on some things, I may lower the prices and relist them after the
auction runs out. I've got to do some checking on truck shipping for the
VW motor before I list it, that's why it's not on ebay yet. Thanks, Jim
Chuk

Hi all, I picked up a KR 1 last fall that had seen better days. Not
wrecked or anything,, just passed around and neglected. My intention was
to part it out, and I'm just now getting around to taking it apart. It has
a nose wheel, aluminum main gear with Cleveland 40-78B wheels. Hydraulic
heel brakes, VW engine that I ran last fall. Thinking about putting the
parts on ebay, but haven't yet. Here is a short video of the engine
running last fall. Jury rigged a small gas tank (on the stick) for a
quick fuel supply. Looked like it had good oil pressure anyway. Hr meter
showed about 430 hrs, but have no info or any history on the plane. Any
thoughts? Jim Chuk
