In the pictures I posted , there a few of the inside of the fuselage on the one project. I assume the additional wood at the top above the sitka longerons is there to raise the turtle deck to accommodate the old style canopy. What I am wondering is if that wood is providing any structural strength or just to raise the turtle deck. I don't even know what kind of wood it is but the whole fuselage is covered with a layer of deck cloth as well. I would appreciate any thoughts about this area. Thanks Bob R
