I used deck cloth to seal my fuselage wood. 1.5 oz per yard ( my
cloth was 50 inches wide) and double that with resin (probably
overstated) and you should be able to cover the fuselage for less
than 8 oz (5 yards of cloth). I'm thinking you'll add more weight
than that filling the wood for painting. Anyway, it's not the weight
penalty most think it is and makes a great wood sealer.

width. Commonly used over wood or plywood or last layer of fiberglass
lay up giving the surface a fine weave for finishing.
My entire KR is covered with deck cloth and it really cut down the
fill and sanding in finishing.
