I went ahead and finally ordered 3 Tony Bingelis books this evening, Sportplane Construction Techniques, The Sportplane Builder and Firewall Forward for my library. This search for information on wood has led me to a place that should actually be the starting point. I have also been examining a number of pieces of sitka that I have on hand and seeing a fair amount of variation in terms of the end grain being at 90 degrees or even less than 45 degrees to the surface. Could not find anything on youtube ( I am a visual learner in many ways). If anyone can recommend videos and where to find them on wood selection. I would appreciate it. Thanks Bob R
