I've been out of town for four days of absolutely awesome flying weather. I managed to get to the airport late this afternoon to get in my possible last flight till the new year. This coming week is Thanksgiving, then my annual expires, two weeks or so to complete the annual, then it is Christmas. Weather was GREAT, blue skies, little or no wind, smooth air. I flew around the area, making some low passes at a local residential air park, then landing at my old home base airport. Chatted a bit with the locals then back to my current home base. Every time I fly the KR in weather like this I grin from ear to ear. My KR is the sweetest flying, smoothest landing airplane I've ever flown (1000 hours in other than a KR, 460 in my KR). Speed brake out on final and it is solid as a rock, all the way down to the flare. Time to flare, a gentle bit of back stick, hold it there and, presto, the wheels start rolling on the pavement. Hold the tail up for a bit, let it settle, and coast or brake to a stop. SIMPLY AWESOME !!!!! All you builders have some great adventures ahead. Keep mixing that epoxy and making sawdust. :-)
