Craig,
I can do a fiberglass workshop on your wing at Essex Sky Park at Baltimore,
MD.  How is the temperature control at the worksite?
Assemble materials and start throwing out dates to see who can plan to be
there - either working hands-on or watching.

I like the idea of the forums too.  Here's and Idea.  What if we had 2
workshops during the year.  They could be located in an area that would be
convenient for the most people.  I think if no one had to drive more that 8
hours then we could get some real stuff done.  As far as the subject I would
suggest that in addition to just holding a show and tell that whomever host
it should be someone who has a part that needs to be built, like a wing,
turtledeck, gear installation, etc  That way people get some real hands on
and everyone learns something.  The person getting  the wing built still
meets the 51% rule because they have another wing to build and the rest of
the plane too.

I use the wing example because I am ready to build mine and would love the
help.  If there are enough folks near Baltimore I could look into hosting
one and I know of a hanger at Essex on the east side of Baltimore I can use
.

Subject: KR> Gathering Forums

Seems like people are interested in the forums at MVN, but might be hard to
get presenters; some are very knowledgeable, but might not be polished
speakers.  Getting materials there for show & tell can be a chore when you
are flying your KR also.  Recruiting subject matter experts from the
audience during the forum leaves much to be desired.  Just as in engine
operation, timing is everything.
For the spring Gathering I would gladly conduct a forum for fiberglass-epoxy
wet lay up similar to that found at AirVenture Oshkosh.  The logistics need
to be worked out.
Conversation with Scott Wicks indicates a strong interest to add Mixture
Meters to the Wicks product line.  Perhaps there is a continued interest
from the KR community for Mixture Meter forums.  I can help with that too.
