Good "rainy" morning, that is. It is 7am here and raining. There was a light sprinkle when I arrived by car yesterday afternoon. There are 3 KRs here, Mike's KR1.5, Mark J's and of course, Larry's.
Also quite a few die hard KR enthusiasts are here. I won't try to name them, because I am sure I will leave some out as I have to work at remembering all the names. All the way here, all 11 hours of the drive, except for the last 30 minutes, had me crying... "why did I not fly". The weather was perfect, however, that last 30 minutes could have been real bad, because the weather was really liking Mt. Vernon. It is really bad when you try so hard to finish your KR, so you can bring it to the Gathering and not be able to get it done. I have many years on that one. But when you work for over 2 years and have it completely ready and cannot bring it because of weather,,, That is a real bummer. Well, enough crying, time to get ready to go down and get breakfast. I wonder how the guys sleeping in the hangar are doing. Most of us used to be here at the HI, and that was just about my favorite part of the Gathering, but now all but a few of us who are addicted to the creature comforts, stay out at the airport. I will try to post some pictures after more planes show up. Dan
