 An experimental, home-built airplane crashed as it was attempting to land at 
Pueblo Memorial Airport around 9 a.m. Sunday, said Mark Lovin, airport director.
George McHenry, 68, who owned the locally-based aircraft, died in the crash. He 
was the only person on board.

 Many of you will remember George and his KR from the KR gathering a few years 
ago. George had just removed the O-235 from his KR and had mounted an O-320 and 
was planning to attend the Gathering.

 Please do me a personal favor and hold off on the speculation of the cause. 
I'll be sure to pass on more information when I learn.
