Just 5 days to go till the 46th annual MERFI Mid Eastern Regional Fly-In Urbana, Oh. I-74 Aug.25th - 26th. This year on the 25th we are hosting a 150 nm cross country race with the Sport Air Racing League sportairrace.org. If you have not tried air racing here is your chance everyone is welcome to join in on this very affordable and fun event. We have a class for about every model of airplane ever built. For those wishing to race there is a prerace meet and greets dinner on Friday at 6:30p.m. EDT at the Airport Café here at Grimes Field, Urbana. Dinner is FREE to all racers and new racers. Fuel discounts are being given to all the racing folks. New racers can pre-register at that time. Or if you cannot make it Friday for the dinner registration opens at 0700-0900 the race Saturday includes breakfast courtesy of Wicks Aircraft Supply our proud sponsor. Wicks will also be delivering any order to the show that is placed before Friday just let them know you are going to be there. This year?s MERFI show is free to all pilots flying in.
